New Happy Meal.Arrives for the New Year!

McDonald’s® is now offering a new Happy Meal® in all restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region! The new Happy Meal.includes a serving of apple slices with a child size serving of fries.

To celebrate the launch of this new kid-friendly option, McDonald’s is hosting Mommy blogger tours and an “Apple of my Eye” photo contest where parents can submit a photo of their child and tell us what makes them happy!  Visit BenFM 95.7’s website between now and February 28, 2012 to enter for a chance to win a Happy Meal.party at your local McDonald’s for your child and ten friends, an appearance by Ronald.McDonald, and a $250 Arch Card!

McDonald's.Sponsors the 20th Annual African American Children's Book Fair

.

 

In honor of Black History Month, McDonald’s® is sponsoring the 20th Annual African American Children's Book Fair on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 1-3 p.m. in the Gymnasium of the Community College of Philadelphia. The event is free and open to the public. Authors and illustrators will make presentations from their books and a wide selection of African American books will be featured and available for purchase. Additionally, games, prizes, giveaways and reading resources will be available.

McDonald’s will have a display booth that will include “Readers are Leaders” bookmarks (all of which include a Happy Meal.coupon!) and Fun Times magazines available for attendees.  McDonald’s will also donate 100 books to the “Educator Series.”

Spring 2012 Ronald.McDonald.House Charities® (RMHC®) Grant Application Now Available

RMHC.of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. grants hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to support local non-profit programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. In addition, RMHC supports four scholarship programs for high school seniors; the Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey and Delaware Ronald.McDonald.Houses; the Ronald.McDonald.Care Mobile, operated by St. Christopher's Foundation for Children; and 13 Ronald.McDonald.Family Rooms in area hospitals.  The charity receives its support from McDonald's.Corporation, McDonald's.Owner/Operators, corporate donors and McDonald's.customers.  For more information, visit www.rmhcphilly.org.

Dental Care for Qualified Kids Ages 1-8 at No Cost to Families 

Supported by RMHC® of the Philadelphia Region, Inc., and operated by St. Christopher's Foundation for Children, the Ronald.McDonald Care Mobile is a two-chair clinic on wheels that provides diagnostic, preventative and restorative dental care to qualified new patients ages 1 to 8 at no cost to their families. For appointments call (215) 427-8877.

Care includes examinations, cleanings, fluoride and sealant treatments, x-rays and fillings. Care Mobile staff will also provide children with dental hygiene instruction. Complicated treatment will be referred. Children qualify for the program if their families are unable to find a Medicaid provider or cannot afford to pay for dental services.

The Care Mobile Dental Program offers complete, continuous care and serves as a dental home for qualified children.
